Years in the making, Detroit Sound Conservancy breaks ground on restoring the Blue Bird Inn, a historic jazz venue where greats like John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, and Miles Davis once graced the stage. Bring a chair and come celebrate this past and future cultural treasure - there will be good music, good food, and all sorts of good people.

New Music Detroit is at it again for the 16th iteration of their multi-day, multi-venue new music festival. Friday, September 8’s program at Michigan Central’s flashy new, techy hub has the most exciting program - techno legend John Collins, jazz great Vincent Chandler, and more sounds to hear and feel.
